The Burke Reveal

Only one word can describe how my body feels right now…exhausted! I’m not going to sugar coat things, I’m tired. We put in some long hours the final week to hit our deadline, and my body is ready for a rest. I must admit though, it was totally worth it!

The Burke is complete and we are extremely proud of our finished product! Brad and I put so much time and thought into this floor plan that we created, and I honestly believe we hit the nail on the head. Not only does this home offer storage solutions, it has that high end designer feeling that all of us ladies dream of 🙂

My entire inspiration for this home was built around two antique corbels I bought from my favourite antique dealer, Kinder Surprises months back. The detail of these corbels mixed with their chippy white paint inspired my white/grey/antique/bohemian vibe I brought in throughout the entire home. The white wood bead chandelier was one of my favourite finds and paired perfectly with the lighter wood flooring and alabaster cabinets.

I really wanted to throw some subtle punches of colour throughout the house so I brought in some fresh green and a deep navy blue to add some depth to the overall neutral colour pallet. Although I have a lot of favourite spots in this house, I must admit the oversized boot room takes first place! Living in a climate like ours here in Saskatchewan, you can drag a lot of stuff in the door with you. Whether it’s winter coats, boots or kids backpacks – this is the perfect storage solution for any family! Hidden from plain view and stylish in its own way, I can’t stop drooling over it!

The master bedroom is a retreat of its own, complete with a walk-in closet, vaulted ceilings and a double vanity bathroom. You may never want to leave this space, plus my dear friend from Dani’s Vintage Designs did some custom light pink nightstands that pop perfectly against the deep blue feature wall.  She also painted a unique desk in the same light pink that staged perfectly in the home’s bedroom used as an office.

A few duplicates of the décor pieces will be used in our 12 days of Spruce giveaways so make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for your chance to win!
