The Wright Home Reveal

Some homes we renovate are old and need lots of love – both structurally and cosmetically…Other homes are still solid and just need some “sprucing up.” This renovation was just that! As original owners of the home our clients raised their babies and developed amazing friendships on the street throughout the years. Moving wasn’t in the cards but revamping the cosmetics of the home and layout of the kitchen was!

The original kitchen was small and housed an angled island. When this house was built angled islands were very much “on trend” but as kitchen designs continue to develop over the years, builders have been able to incorporate islands that utilize the space better. We moved a wall back and created a new entrance to the main floor laundry room through the kitchen. This allowed for the kitchen to gain valuable real estate and become a more functional working space.

By switching out all of the cabinetry, paint, and adding new furniture this house really took on a new look! We incorporated lots of warm wood throughout by using white oak floating shelves, stairs, and bathroom vanities. We went with a luxury vinyl plank flooring that mimicked a real white oak hardwood, but had the benefit of water resistance that real wood floors don’t.

I absolutely fell in love with the kitchen backsplash selection! It has an identical look to real brick but requires FAR less maintenance and comes at a fraction of the cost. The way it warmed up the all white kitchen was perfect! Below are a few of my favorite before and after photos of this project. I hope this leaves you feeling inspired to Spruce Up your home too!
