After 6 weeks of having this project in the YXE Parade of Homes, it’s finally time to hand over keys to our buyers! To everyone who took the time out of their busy lives to stop-in during Parade hours and say hello, to everyone who told their friends to go check it out, and to our staff and realtors who willingly helped cover shifts each night…THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts <3

This build was inspired by the modern country spaces we so often see in magazines. We wanted this house to be light and airy, yet cozy and welcoming at the same time. I’m a firm believer that everyone should love and enjoy their home. Our hope in building or renovating any project is to create spaces where you feel you can relax and rewind, have unexpected gatherings, and have movie nights curled up with popcorn on the couch. Alyse and Lawrence, may this be a place you love coming home to <3

All of the little details that went into this house are what truly make it so unique. We wanted the exterior to be simple and charming all at the same time. We stuck with a white siding to create the cottage vibe we aspired for and added a small pop of color on the front door (Wythe Blue – Benjamin Moore). The pineapple light and hello doormat were ideas I snagged from another designer I love following, Jillian Harris.
The kitchen truly is the heart of the home for this build! With cabinets that reach all the way to the 9ft ceilings, a massive walk-in pantry, and a fully tiled wall…this is where you will find me hanging out 😉 The end goal in designing any kitchen is to create something functional, yet aesthetically pleasing as well. We went with Prosecco White upper cabinets and Dorian Grey lower cabinets to add some visual interest. We also turned the champaign bronze cabinet pulls horizontally to give a designer look! I almost chickened out and had them put back vertically, and I’m sure glad I didn’t and stuck to my gut 🙂

Almost all of the staging pieces you’ll see throughout were leant to us by amazing female owned businesses in our community. We are SO proud to support other local businesses and showcase their work and pieces in our homes. You’ll see pieces from Davidson Kinder Antiques, Home by Randi, Peach Poppy Designs, Jenni Haikonen, Tupperware by Erin, Flooring Superstores, and Sask Sisters. These incredibly talented ladies work their butts off to get us pieces to fit the design of the home, and we couldn’t be more pleased with them!
We will be hosting an ONLINE decor sale this coming Tuesday, September 17th over the lunch hour. We will be going “live” on social media to show you all of the wonderful pieces we have available. Please DM us if you would like to purchase anything and we will send you an invoice for e-transfer. Pick-ups can be immediately or scheduled with myself for a later date. Looking forward to seeing what everyone purchases!!

Happy Wednesday friends!
XOXO
