20 Feb The Liam Reveal
Welcome back to our home reveals! If you’ve missed any of our prior project reveals, you can find them all right here on the blog! Today we’re giving you all the nitty-gritty details on our most recent custom build, The Liam. This project brought lots of firsts for us as a Spruce Team. The first time we’ve built an infill of this size, our first completely custom built house, and our first house with a fireplace 🙂 (there will definitely be more!)
The overall design of this house was a really clean look. Subtle pops of color against the white walls and unique features like a painted barn door, waterfall rain shower in the master, and a GORGEOUS stair runner going up the stained stairs made this home unique for our clients. Until you’ve custom built a home, it’s hard to fully grasp the fact that you literally get to pick everything you want for the house…what we love about this is that the house get’s to be a reflection of our client’s style, and the floor plan gets to suit exactly how they live day-to-day.
Some of my favorite spots in the house have the coolest light fixtures…it’s amazing what the right lighting can do to warm up a room. We constantly get questions on where the lighting from this project was sourced from so I’ll make sure to link them at the bottom of this blog!
Now for the heart of the home, The Liam’s kitchen! Prosecco White lowers and a Denim island from Superior Cabinets make this kitchen so much fun. This was only the second time we’ve done two different countertops in a kitchen and I continue to LOVE the contrast it gives in a space. Don’t be afraid to step outside the box on decisions like this – if done right, I can promise you won’t regret it! The maple floating shelves were done custom by our new friend Michael at Beaver Creek and we can’t rave about his quality or customer service more! You’ll notice the matching mantle in the below photos that Michael also did for us!
We could go on and on about this project…Steph, Daniel & Liam were such a pleasure to build this home for. They had such a vision for this house, and we feel honored that we were able to bring it together for them! We can’t end this blog without mentioning a few more of our favorite details though!
- The hidden office on the main floor enclosed by the sliding barn door was such a cool feature to build. It’s a spot you can throw all your paperwork and close the door behind you! The Hale Navy color on the barn door and the Champaign Bronze Handle really made this a design feature on the main floor.
- The master ensuite is a true retreat. The gorgeous tiles, rainfall shower head, stand alone tub and walled off toilet room make this a space you can truly relax in.
- The living room fireplace and built-ins – COLD winters like we’ve had lately have made this a must have!
Thank you again Steph and Daniel for choosing us to be your home builder! Our hope is that you set down roots and fall in love with this space as much as we did 🙂
